Rice & Gardner served Houston ISD as the Commissioning Agent and LEED AP for the new DeBakey High School for Health Professions located in the Texas Medical Center in Houston. The facility features state-of-the-art medical training equipment with teaching labs for dentistry, rehabilitation, and patient care. It also houses extensive science labs, mock hospital rooms, simulation patient-care labs, a gymnasium, fitness center, black box theater, art room, and music room.
Rice & Gardner provided fundamental and enhanced commissioning services during the design phase, bidding phase, construction phase, and warranty phase. We also provided LEED AP Management services, overseeing the activities performed by the design professionals and contractors during the design and construction phases. This project achieved LEED Certification.
