Our rich history and ties to the Houston community date back to 2005, when Rice & Gardner was first formed by Jim Rice and Kevin Gardner.
Jim owned a project management firm, while Kevin owned an engineering firm. Each firm provided complementary services to the same core clients, supporting each other in the successful completion of projects rather than acting as competitors. When Kevin and Jim discovered their shared passion for serving their community and providing highly personal and positive experiences for their clients, they decided to combine their firms and become a powerhouse in the industry.
This lead to the founding of Rice & Gardner, a unique firm that offers project management, commissioning, and a comprehensive variety of other services to clients. Partnering with a wide range of clients large and small, Rice & Gardner has been proud to provide companies with the knowledge and support they need to complete a construction, renovation, or retrofitting project from beginning to end.
In addition to excelling on a professional level, Rice & Gardner is founded on the belief that serving the local community is incredibly important. Our founders shared a common vision: to establish a company that genuinely served Houston and the state of Texas, making a positive change for the community as a whole. Every day, efforts are made towards this goal, ranging from extensive work with local school districts, involvement with charitable organizations, supporting safe and high-quality educational environments, to mentoring Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs).
