Jim Rice is the Founder and President of Rice & Gardner, with nearly five decades of expertise in planning, managing, and delivering educational projects and programs throughout Texas. Since establishing the firm in 2005, Jim has grounded its success in hard work, disciplined leadership, and an unwavering commitment to client service, values that continue to shape Rice & Gardner’s reputation today.

Jim is a distinguished leader in Texas education, having served as President of the Texas Association of School Boards during the 2020–2021 term and bringing 12 years of experience as a school board trustee. His extensive knowledge of educational institutions, especially K-12 schools, shapes Rice & Gardner’s commitment to supporting school districts through the delivery of high-quality facilities that enhance student achievement. Known for his clear and confident client representation, Jim remains dedicated to helping K–12 districts reach their long-term facility and program objectives.
