Katherine Smith Elementary
Katherine Smith Elementary School Phase II was recently certified with LEED Silver. Rice & Gardner performed fundamental and enhanced commissioning for the 60,000SF classroom addition at Katherine Smith Elementary. Rice & Gardner Senior Project Manager, Claude Yoas, was the leading Commissioning Authority who worked closely with the project team, which included Brave Architects, CAI Engineers, and Comex Corporation, to diligently verify the equipment’s conformance with the design requirements and the owner’s expectations. Claude was responsible for reviewing design drawings and submittals, as well as developing pre-functional checklist to perform testing on HVAC equipment and controls.
