Houston Independent School District selected Rice & Gardner in August of 2008 to serve as one of the Construction Manager Program Administrators for their 2007 Facilities Capital Program. Rice & Gardner is managing $115 million in renovations at 29 campuses.
This project involves the coordination of simultaneous architectural, engineering, and construction activities at multiple facilities to ensure that projects on the various campuses are completed on time and within budget from design through construction. Rice & Gardner is acting as an extension of the Owner's staff and coordinates all facets of the work with HISD administration, campus staff, architects, various sub-consultants, general contractors, government entities, and utility companies. The project is scheduled to be complete in late 2011.
